2 ply blanket manufacturers

When sourcing 2 Ply blankets, the most critical factor is the GSM (Grams per Square Meter), which typically ranges from 300 to 900 GSM. A high-quality 2 Ply blanket should feature Raschel or Flannel polyester fibers for the face and reverse. Ensure the two layers are bonded using ultrasonic embossing or high-strength stitching to prevent delamination after washing. For premium markets, prioritize anti-static and anti-pilling treatments.

To ensure market entry and consumer safety, products must meet the OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which guarantees the absence of harmful substances. For the US market, compliance with CPSC flammability standards (16 CFR Part 1610) is mandatory. For the EU, ensure the product adheres to REACH regulations. Always request a Certificate of Origin and a Third-Party Inspection Report (SGS or Intertek) before final payment.

Evaluate performance through colorfastness tests (Grade 4 or higher) to ensure dyes do not bleed. Check the shrinkage rate, which should be less than 3% after multiple industrial wash cycles. For functional blankets, verify the thermal insulation R-value. If the blanket is intended for heavy-duty use, inspect the edge binding (satin or overlock) to ensure it is reinforced against fraying.

2 Ply blankets are versatile, used in hospitality (hotels), healthcare, and retail gift markets. Customization options include rotary screen printing, digital printing, or 3D embossing. For corporate clients, private labeling and custom PVC bag packaging are essential for brand positioning. Ensure the supplier can provide OEM/ODM services with a sample lead time of 7-10 days.

Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on professional platforms like Made-in-China.com. Utilize Trade Assurance or Secure Payment services to protect your funds until the goods are confirmed. Conduct a factory audit (virtual or on-site) to verify production capacity and social compliance (BSCI/SEDEX).

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. For 2 Ply blankets, bulk discounts of 10-20% are common for orders exceeding 2,000 pieces. If you are a startup, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer low MOQ (e.g., 50-100 units) for 'Ready-to-Ship' designs to test the market before committing to large volumes.

Blankets are high-volume goods; use vacuum compression packaging to reduce the volume by up to 60%, significantly lowering ocean freight costs. For shipping to the US or Europe, choose FOB (Free on Board) terms to maintain control over your logistics provider. Ensure the HS Code (typically 6301.40) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays and incorrect duty applications.

Implement a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) where a random sample (AQL 2.5/4.0) is checked for weight, size, and defects. Never transfer the 30% deposit without a signed Proforma Invoice (PI) that clearly states the technical specifications. Use Escrow services provided by reputable B2B platforms to ensure the supplier only receives payment upon your satisfaction.
