Drinking water glass manufacturers

You should prioritize High Borosilicate Glass for its superior thermal shock resistance, or Lead-Free Crystal for high-end aesthetics and clarity. Ensure the glass is BPA-free and food-grade, typically verified by FDA or LFGB certifications. For commercial use, look for tempered glass which is 4-5 times stronger than standard glass and breaks into blunt fragments if shattered.

Request test reports for Dishwasher Safety (ISO 12875) and Thermal Shock Resistance (ASTM C149). For the US market, compliance with California Proposition 65 regarding lead and cadmium content is essential. For the EU, ensure the products meet Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 for materials intended to come into contact with food.

For hospitality and catering, focus on stackability to save space and rim reinforcement to prevent chipping. For retail or gift markets, prioritize aesthetic finishes like ion plating, hammered textures, or gold rims. For office use, consider glasses with silicone sleeves or bamboo lids to enhance grip and hygiene.

Machine-blown glass offers high consistency and lower costs for large volumes, while hand-blown glass allows for thinner rims and unique shapes but at a higher price point. Machine-pressed glass is generally thicker and more durable, making it ideal for high-traffic environments like bars or cafeterias.

The biggest risk is breakage during transit. You must mandate 5-layer corrugated outer cartons and internal drop-test certified packaging (e.g., ISTA 1A). Ensure the supplier uses honeycomb paper, bubble wrap, or molded pulp instead of thin plastic bags. Always include a 1-3% breakage allowance in your contract or request extra units to cover potential transit damage.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. Before placing a bulk order, request a pre-production sample and a third-party inspection (like SGS or Intertek) to verify that the mass production matches the approved sample's weight, clarity, and dimensions.

Glassware is high-volume but heavy, so Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is usually the most economical. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties that some regions (like the EU) may impose on specific types of Chinese glassware. Ensure your HS Code (typically 7013) is correctly declared on the Commercial Invoice to avoid customs delays and ensure accurate duty calculation.
