King chair manufacturers

When sourcing King Chairs, prioritize solid wood frames, specifically kiln-dried mahogany, oak, or rubberwood, to prevent warping and ensure structural integrity for heavy-duty use. For the upholstery, ensure the use of high-density foam (minimum 30kg/m³) to maintain shape over time. If the design includes metallic accents, verify they are electroplated stainless steel or solid brass to prevent oxidation and peeling in humid environments.

For the US market, ensure the upholstery meets CAL 117 (TB117-2013) fire retardancy standards. For the EU, compliance with REACH regulations for chemical substances in fabrics and leathers is mandatory. Additionally, if the chair is intended for commercial use (e.g., events or hotels), it should pass BIFMA or EN 16139:2013 tests for strength, durability, and safety.

Examine the hand-carving details; authentic high-end King Chairs feature deep, crisp carvings rather than resin-molded appliqués. Check the gold or silver leafing process—professional suppliers use a multi-layer lacquering technique to ensure the finish does not flake. For tufted designs, ensure deep-buttoning is secured with high-tensile nylon thread to prevent buttons from loosening under pressure.

King Chairs are primarily used for weddings, luxury events, photography studios, and hotel lobbies. Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services, allowing you to customize the fabric type (velvet, PU leather, or genuine leather), frame color (gold, silver, white, or natural wood), and even add embroidered brand logos on the backrest for event rental businesses.

King Chairs are bulky and prone to damage. Insist on 5-layer corrugated cardboard packaging with EPE foam corner protectors and a solid wooden crate (fumigated) for LCL shipments. Always negotiate CIF or CIP terms initially to ensure the supplier handles insurance, or verify your own Marine Cargo Insurance covers 'door-to-door' risks including breakage.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Request a breakdown of costs and ask for a volume-based discount (typically 5-10% for 20GP container loads). To ensure quality, negotiate a payment term of 30% deposit and 70% balance after third-party inspection (e.g., SGS or V-Trust) but before shipment. Mention you are sourcing via Made-in-China.com to leverage their trade security ecosystems.

Check if the supplier is an Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com, which confirms their business license and production capabilities have been verified by independent agencies. Request a video factory audit to see the production line and the current stock of raw materials. Avoid suppliers who cannot provide ISO 9001 certification or clear photos of previous export shipments.

Identify the correct HS Code (typically 9401.61 for upholstered wooden-frame seats) to determine import duties. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some countries (like the US) impose on wooden bedroom or lounge furniture from specific regions. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin (CO) to potentially benefit from preferential tariff rates under Free Trade Agreements.
