Airless pump manufacturers

Airless pumps utilize a vacuum dispensing system that does not rely on a dip tube. The primary advantage is preventing oxidation by ensuring the product never comes into contact with air, which extends the shelf life of preservative-free or organic formulas. Additionally, these pumps offer a 99% evacuation rate, meaning consumers can use almost every drop of the product, reducing waste and increasing perceived value.

Buyers should verify that the internal components, especially the piston and pump engine, are made of PP (Polypropylene) or PETG, as these materials have high chemical resistance. For luxury branding, AS (Acrylonitrile Styrene) is often used for the outer bottle due to its clarity and stiffness. It is critical to request a compatibility test report to ensure the specific viscosity of your formula does not cause the pump to clog or the gasket to degrade.

For the US market, materials must be FDA-compliant if they come into contact with cosmetics. For the EU, compliance with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 is essential. Furthermore, if you are targeting eco-conscious markets, look for suppliers providing PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic options with GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification.

A professional supplier should provide data on the actuation force (the pressure needed to press the pump) and the dosage accuracy (typically ranging from 0.15ml to 0.5ml per stroke). You should request a leakage test report (vacuum leakage test at -0.05MPa for 5 minutes) and a cycle test ensuring the pump functions perfectly for at least 300 to 500 actuations.

The most common risk is mechanical failure or leakage during high-altitude air freight due to pressure changes. To mitigate this, always require vacuum chamber testing during the QC process. Another risk is color inconsistency in electroplated or spray-painted finishes; ensure you approve a Golden Sample and use Pantone color matching to maintain brand uniformity across batches.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. When negotiating, focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume—airless pumps are highly sensitive to scale, and prices can drop significantly at 10,000+ units. Always define the Defective Rate Allowance (typically <1%) in the contract, specifying that the supplier must replace or refund units exceeding this threshold.

Airless pumps are prone to surface scratching during transit. Insist on individual PE bag packaging or egg-crate foam trays rather than bulk bagging. For shipping to Western markets, consider Sea-plus-Express (DDP) for a balance of cost and speed, but ensure the outer cartons are 5-layer corrugated fiberboard to prevent crushing, which can trigger the pump mechanism prematurely.

Look for the 'Audited Supplier' badge, which indicates that a third-party inspection company like SGS, Bureau Veritas, or TÜV Rheinland has verified their factory premises and production capabilities. Review their Audit Report to check their annual production capacity and ensure they have an in-house clean-room environment (ISO Class 7 or 8), which is vital for cosmetic packaging hygiene.
