Laundry bleach manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the Sodium Hypochlorite concentration, typically ranging from 3% to 10% for liquid bleach. For oxygen-based (color-safe) bleach, verify the Sodium Percarbonate content. Ensure the pH level is strictly controlled (usually between 11 and 13 for chlorine bleach) to maintain stability and shelf life. Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to confirm active ingredient consistency.

As a hazardous chemical, laundry bleach must comply with the GHS (Globally Harmonized System) for labeling and classification. Suppliers should provide a valid MSDS/SDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). For entry into the US market, EPA registration may be required if disinfectant claims are made. In the EU, compliance with REACH regulations and the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) is mandatory.

Chlorine bleach naturally degrades over time, especially when exposed to heat or light. Look for suppliers using UV-resistant, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) packaging. Ask for accelerated aging test reports to ensure the product maintains at least 90% of its active strength for at least 12 months under standard storage conditions.

Powdered bleach (Sodium Percarbonate) is often more cost-effective for cross-border shipping due to its lower weight and higher stability compared to liquid versions. However, liquid bleach offers immediate solubility and is preferred for automated industrial laundry systems. Evaluate your logistics costs versus application requirements before deciding on the form factor.

Bleach is classified as Class 8 Corrosive Substances under the IMDG code. You must ensure the supplier uses UN-certified packaging designed for hazardous liquids. It is critical to work with freight forwarders experienced in DG (Dangerous Goods) handling to avoid port rejections or heavy fines. Always confirm the IMO Class and UN Number before booking shipment.

Utilize Trade Assurance services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. Conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspector (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), specifically checking for leakages and verifying the concentration levels of the active chemicals.

Since bleach production is highly dependent on raw material costs (like salt and electricity), consider long-term contracts to hedge against price volatility. Negotiate based on volume tiers; for example, ordering a full 20ft container (FCL) can reduce unit costs by 15-25% compared to LCL due to specialized handling fees for hazardous materials.

Yes, many countries impose strict environmental and safety levies on chemical imports. Verify the HS Code (typically 2828.90 for hypochlorites) with your local customs broker to determine exact duty rates. Ensure all outer cartons and pallets are marked with the correct hazardous warning diamonds to prevent customs delays.
