Sulfosulfuron manufacturers

Sulfosulfuron is a selective, systemic sulfonylurea herbicide. For B2B procurement, the Technical Grade (TC) usually requires a purity of ≥95% or ≥98%. For end-use formulations, common types include 75% WDG (Water Dispersible Granules). You must verify the moisture content (typically <0.5%) and suspensibility (≥80%) to ensure the product remains stable during storage and effective during application.

It is primarily used for post-emergence control of annual broad-leaved weeds and grassy weeds (such as Bromus and Phalaris minor) in wheat crops. It works by inhibiting the ALS (acetolactate synthase) enzyme. Buyers should confirm the application window and dosage rates with suppliers to prevent phytotoxicity in sensitive follow-up crops like oilseed rape or sugar beet.

As a chemical pesticide, it must comply with international standards. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Analysis (COA), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), and ICAMA registration (for Chinese exports). The product must meet FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) specifications to ensure environmental and user safety.

Sulfosulfuron should be packed in UN-approved containers to prevent leakage. Common packaging includes 25kg fiber drums for TC or small aluminum foil bags for WDG. It must be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse, away from food, seeds, and fertilizers to avoid cross-contamination.

The main risks include regulatory non-compliance and quality degradation. Different countries have strict pesticide registration laws; importing without a valid permit can lead to customs seizure. Always use Made-in-China.com's audited suppliers to mitigate the risk of receiving sub-standard active ingredients.

Utilize Trade Assurance services and request third-party inspections (such as SGS or BV) before the balance payment is made. This ensures the Active Ingredient (AI) content matches the contract specifications. For new suppliers, start with a small sample test to verify the formulation's solubility and efficacy.

Sulfosulfuron is often classified under IMO Class 9 (Environmentally Hazardous Substance) for shipping. You must ensure the forwarder is experienced in handling Dangerous Goods (DG). Ensure all shipping marks, Hazard Labels, and Emergency Response Procedures are clearly displayed on the bill of lading and packaging.

Negotiate based on seasonal demand cycles; purchasing during the 'off-season' can result in 10-15% price reductions. Discuss MOQ flexibility—while 500kg is standard for TC, many suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer lower MOQs for branded formulations to help buyers test local market response.
