Tpms motorcycle manufacturers

Selecting a TPMS depends on the bike's rim type and usage. For standard street bikes, External Sensors are preferred for their ease of installation and battery replacement. For off-road or adventure bikes, Internal Sensors are superior as they are protected from mud, rocks, and physical impact, though they require professional tire shop installation. Ensure the display unit is IP67 waterproof rated to withstand heavy rain and outdoor exposure.

Prioritize sensors with a high-precision pressure chip (accuracy within ±0.1 bar) and a fast refresh rate (data updates every 1-3 seconds). The display should feature High-Definition LCD or FSTN technology for visibility under direct sunlight. Additionally, check for Solar Charging capabilities combined with Magnetic USB charging to ensure the device never runs out of power during long tours.

To ensure legal sale and operational safety, products must carry CE and RoHS certifications for the European market, or FCC certification for North America, ensuring the wireless frequency (usually 433.92MHz) does not interfere with other vehicle electronics. For the sensors, verify they have passed High/Low Temperature Tests (-40°C to 125°C) and Centrifugal Force Tests to ensure they remain stable at high speeds.

For commercial buyers, look for TPMS units that support Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity to sync with mobile apps. This allows fleet managers to monitor tire health remotely, reduce fuel consumption by maintaining optimal pressure, and extend tire lifespan by up to 20%, significantly lowering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

TPMS sensors contain Lithium Button Cells (CR1632/CR2032), which are classified as Dangerous Goods (UN3481). You must ensure the supplier provides a valid MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and UN38.3 Test Report. Failure to provide these will lead to customs seizures or rejection by airlines. Using a freight forwarder experienced in battery-inclusive electronics is highly recommended.

Focus on Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Check their Export Experience—suppliers with a history of shipping to your target region are more likely to understand your local voltage, frequency, and packaging regulations. Always request a working sample to test the signal stability at speeds exceeding 100km/h before placing a bulk order.

Negotiate based on Tiered Pricing; for orders over 500 units, aim for a 15-25% discount off the sample price. Request OEM/Customization services, such as printing your brand logo on the display and customizing the Low-Pressure Alarm Thresholds in the firmware. Ensure the contract includes a Defective Rate Guarantee (typically <1%) with a clear replacement policy for units that fail within the first 12 months.

For small to medium batches, DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is often the most convenient as the supplier handles all taxes and customs. However, for large sea freight containers, FOB (Free On Board) gives you better control over shipping costs and logistics transparency. Always verify the HS Code (typically 9026.20) with your local customs broker to calculate precise import tariffs.
