Zig-zag blade manufacturers

When selecting Zig-zag blades, the material composition is paramount. High-quality blades are typically made from D2 (SKD11) high-carbon steel or M2 high-speed steel (HSS) to ensure wear resistance. You must specify the hardness level (HRC 58-64) based on the material being cut (e.g., plastic, paper, or textiles). Additionally, verify the pitch (distance between teeth) and tooth depth to ensure compatibility with your specific packaging or cutting machinery.

Precision is achieved through CNC grinding technology, which ensures a sharp, burr-free edge. For high-speed applications, look for blades with surface treatments such as Teflon coating (to reduce friction and adhesive buildup) or Titanium plating (to extend service life by 3-5 times). Requesting a parallelism tolerance of within 0.02mm is standard for high-end industrial requirements.

Reliable manufacturers should hold ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management. If the blades are used in food packaging, ensure the materials and coatings are FDA or REACH compliant to prevent chemical migration. Always ask for a Material Test Report (MTR) to verify the chemical composition of the steel used.

Yes, most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You should provide technical drawings (CAD/PDF) or physical samples. Key customization parameters include overall length, width, thickness, and the specific mounting hole configuration to ensure a perfect fit for brands like Bosch, Ishida, or Multivac.

To avoid 'fake' high-speed steel, utilize third-party inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a hardness test and spectroscopic analysis before the final payment. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification of their production capabilities.

Industrial blades are often produced in batches. Negotiate based on Annual Purchase Volume (APV) rather than single orders to secure discounts of 10-20%. For lead times, standard blades usually take 15-20 days, while custom orders may take 30-45 days. Always include a penalty clause for late delivery in your Proforma Invoice (PI).

Blades are hazardous and prone to rust during sea transit. Ensure the supplier uses VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) paper or anti-rust oil wrapping. The outer packaging must be heavy-duty wooden crates with internal foam padding to prevent the blades from piercing the box or shifting during handling, which could damage the delicate cutting edges.

Ensure the correct HS Code (typically 8208.90 for machine knives/blades) is used to avoid customs delays or incorrect duty applications. Check for any anti-dumping duties that your specific country might impose on steel products from the manufacturing region to accurately calculate your Total Landed Cost.
